C-Section (Cesarean Section)

A surgical delivery procedure where the baby is born through an incision in the mother’s abdomen and uterus.

Indications

1. Fetal distress : Baby is in distress and needs immediate delivery.

2. Placental abruption : Placenta separates from the uterus, depriving the baby of oxygen.

3. Uterine rupture : Uterus tears, putting the mother and baby at risk.

4. Multiple pregnancy : Twins, triplets, or other multiples.

5. Breech presentation : Baby is not in the correct position for vaginal delivery.

Indications of Hysterectomy

 

1. Uterine cancer : Cancer of the uterus.

2. Uterine fibroids : Non-cancerous growths in the uterus.

3. Endometriosis : Tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus.

4. Uterine prolapse : Uterus slips out of place.

5. Chronic pelvic pain : Persistent pain in the pelvic area

Procedure

1. Abdominal incision : A horizontal incision is made in the abdomen.

2. Uterine incision : A horizontal incision is made in the uterus.

3. Delivery : The baby is delivered through the incisions.

4. Uterine repair : The uterus is repaired, and the incisions are closed.
